Our Approach

Our approach to therapy is integrative, influenced by attachment theory and interpersonal approaches to psychotherapy, while also incorporating techniques from a variety of evidence-based treatments including cognitive and behavioral therapies.

Dr. Feerick has completed intensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT), as well as interpersonal/relational therapeutic approaches and evidence-based approaches to trauma.

In individual and group therapy contexts, we work to help clients meet their individual goals and build coping skills through DBT- and CBT-informed approaches, and we offer skills building and RO DBT classes.

Although Dr. Feerick is trained in DBT therapy, at this time our practice does not support Comprehensive Stage One DBT treatment. If upon initial consultation Comprehensive DBT would be the best approach for the client, we can provide a list of local practices that offer Comprehensive DBT.
